BeechTree is Making Strides Against Breast Cancer at Annual Run/Walk on Oct. 25

UPPER MARLBORO, Md., Oct. 22, 2014 /PRNewswire/ -- BeechTree, a luxury new home community in Prince George's County, is proud to join the American Cancer Society in the fight against breast cancer at the 2nd Annual 3BC-BeechTree Battling Breast Cancer 5K Run/Walk on Saturday, October 25.

Advance registration is $25 and participants can sign up at www.makingstrideswalk.org/3BC. Registration on the day of the event is $30. Groups of 10 or more can register for $200. All participants receive a T-shirt.

This annual event helps raise funds to fight breast cancer, a disease over 200,000 women in the United States are diagnosed with every year. Since 1993, over 9 million walkers and runners have raised more than $528 million to help fund breast cancer research and services for families affected by breast cancer.

The 2nd Annual 3BC-BeechTree Battling Breast Cancer 5K Run/Walk has set a goal to raise $5,000 to go toward this work. Day-of-event registration begins at 7 a.m. at the BeechTree Clubhouse, located at 15511 Beech Tree Parkway in Upper Marlboro. The Run/Walk begins at 9 a.m.

All proceeds benefit the American Cancer Society's Making Strides Against Breast Cancer campaign, the organization's only campaign focused on just one type of cancer.
