Being Environmentally Conscious While Traveling Abroad May Help Save the Same Views for Other People

Traveling to somewhere in the wrong way is also an issue. In the case of Venice, cruise ships coming and displacing sediment and water has brought about major problems for the city. The wooden structures that most buildings in Venice are built upon can last for centuries, as long as no air touches them that is. The vast amounts of displacement that cruise ships can cause add up to huge amounts of damage, especially when hundreds of ships come in through the waterways each year. Remedying this issue is a bit trickier than other environmentally respectful actions, but perhaps waiting to visit until Venice has completed construction of seawater barriers could be an option for some travelers.

Being environmentally conscious of actions while traveling may help make it so that other people can enjoy the sites and experiences all around the world if they choose to travel, too, but also keeps those areas safe for the locals.
