Bellco Joins Credit Unions Worldwide To Celebrate 70th Annual International Credit Union Day®
Bellco marks occasion by honoring its members and employees and celebrating receipt of the Dora Maxwell Social Responsibility Community Service Award
GREENWOOD VILLAGE, Colo., Oct. 18, 2018 /PRNewswire/ -- Bellco today joins fellow credit unions around the world to celebrate International Credit Union Day, an annual event that commemorates the credit union movement's impact and achievements. More than 89,000 credit unions exist globally, providing a plethora of financial services for their members and serving as a force for positive economic and social change.
To commemorate International Credit Union Day, Bellco is focusing first and foremost on honoring its more than 320,000 members, as well as its employees. Members who visit any of Bellco's 25 branches in Colorado on Oct. 18 will receive a special sweet treat, as will all Bellco employees.

Bellco will also be honored on Oct. 18 for its unwavering commitment to giving back to the communities where its members live, work and play. Bellco has been awarded the 2018 Dora Maxwell Social Responsibility Community Service Award through the Mountain West Credit Union Association. Given annually to credit unions for outstanding social responsibility projects within the community, Bellco is being recognized for its community efforts through its "Bellco Gives Back" program, as well as its ongoing support of the Denver Art Museum's Free for Kids program.
International Credit Union Day is recognized by the World Council of Credit Unions, the global trade association and development platform for credit unions and other financial cooperatives, as well as numerous national credit union trade associations and federations around the world.
