Beringer Vineyards Partners With the Deen Brothers for Second Annual Million Meals Charity Campaign

NAPA, Calif., Nov. 2, 2011 /PRNewswire/ -- Beringer Vineyards, one of the most historic wineries in America, today kicked off the holiday season with its second annual Million Meals charity campaign, which supports hunger charities nationwide by donating one dollar for every purchase of Beringer Founders' Estate wine during the months of November and December. Beringer has doubled its investment in the program this year, with the goal of providing two million meals to families in need.

Food Network Stars Jamie and Bobby Deen are leading the charge on Beringer's holiday campaign for the second year in a row and will provide Beringer enthusiasts with exclusive holiday recipes to complement Beringer wines. The custom recipes, along with additional ideas on how to bring the Million Meals campaign into any hometown, are available on Beringer's Million Meals website. The website also features information on the preferred fundraising partners nationwide, which are regionally based and offer an opportunity for shoppers to give back to their local communities.

With recipes, templates and a dinner party kit, the website makes it easy to learn how to host a fundraising dinner and quickly pinpoint local charities that will benefit from the Million Meals campaign. In coming months Beringer is launching a Facebook application that will allow consumers to contribute even more meals by completing challenges online and when visiting Beringer's historic estate in the Napa Valley.
