Berkery Noyes Adds Media & Entertainment Pro as Managing Director

NEW YORK, June 20, 2011 /PRNewswire/ -- Berkery Noyes, a leading independent investment bank, today announced that Evan Klein has accepted the position of Managing Director at the firm.  Mr. Klein will head the entertainment practice and also co-lead the media and marketing services group.

Mr. Klein, who has over 20 years of media and entertainment investment banking experience, joins Berkery Noyes from his previous position as managing director at a highly regarded New York merchant bank, where he provided corporate finance and strategic advice to privately held and publicly traded companies across the media, digital content and entertainment spectrum.

Mr. Klein's career is notable both for the increasing volume, size and complexity of the transactions that he has managed, and the prestige of the firms he has served, which include Allen & Company, SG Cowen Securities and Prudential Securities. Since 2000, he has managed or co-managed more than 30 corporate finance and M&A transactions, ranging in size from under $50 million to nearly $3 billion.  Among the transactions he has managed are the $100 million private equity placement for Evergreen Copyrights, a top music publisher; a $100+ million pending sale of a leading marketing services provider; and the $2.8 billion sale of online content delivery provider INTERVU to Akamai Technologies.

Mr. Klein earned an MBA degree from The Wharton School at the University of Pennsylvania, and a BS degree in Business Administration from the State University of New York at Albany. Mr. Klein holds FINRA Series 7 and 63 licenses.
