Berlin Packaging Expands Florida Footprint with New 40,000-Square-Foot Warehouse in Miramar

CHICAGO, April 2, 2013  /PRNewswire/ -- Berlin Packaging, a full-service supplier of plastic, glass and metal containers and closures with more than 90 locations throughout North America, is opening a 40,000-square-foot warehouse in Miramar, FL, to accommodate rapid business growth in the South Florida market. The facility will house customers' packaging components for just-in-time delivery and enable same-day shipping to virtually the entire state of Florida.

The warehouse is located at 9698 Premier Parkway in the Miramar Park of Commerce, developed by Sunbeam Properties & Development. It is adjacent to the Florida turnpike in a new state-of-the-art building that features high ceilings and large bays to optimize space utilization. The leasing agent is Jones Lang LaSalle.

Berlin Packaging will begin using the new space in May, be fully operational this summer when the buildout is complete, and continue to use existing third-party warehouses in Orlando, Miami and Jacksonville when needed for proximity to customers' fillers or own facilities. The company is also opening a new office in Miami, joining its Florida headquarters in Bradenton and sales offices across Florida established over the firm's 20 years of business in the state.
