WASHINGTON, Jan. 31, 2017 /PRNewswire-USNewswire/ -- State governments can foster economic growth or stymie enterprise. They can advance access to quality health care and education, and they can impede justice and opportunity for their citizens. But can their performance be measured? Why have some states succeeded where others have faltered? What can they learn from each other? And how, as citizens, can we chart their progress?
On February 28, 2017, U.S. News & World Report will unveil Best States, an interactive platform featuring rankings, tools and analysis to measure how states best serve their citizens. McKinsey & Company serves as the analytical engine for the project, producing a first-of-its-kind Leading States Index to give public sector leaders a snapshot of how citizens experience their states. The Best States platform will be a highly interactive platform, helping citizens and their elected leaders understand the nation they live in and make changes for the better.
Best States is the second multimedia platform developed by U.S. News to address government leadership. U.S. News unveiled Best Countries in 2016. To date, the project has garnered over 4 million unique visitors to the rankings and daily content.
