BET Networks Presents The "I AM HIP HOP ICON" Award To Legendary MC, Rakim

NEW YORK, Sept. 25, 2012 /PRNewswire/ -- BET Networks today announced that legendary MC, Rakim will be the recipient of the "I AM HIP HOP ICON" Award at this year's BET HIP HOP AWARDS filming at the Boisfeuillet Jones Atlanta Civic Center in Atlanta on Saturday, September 29, 2012.  Rakim will be acknowledged and honored for his contribution to the music industry as being one of the greatest lyricists of all time.
