Beyond Limits Appoints New Head of Oil and Gas Technologies

GLENDALE, Calif., Oct. 16, 2017 /PRNewswire/ -- Beyond Limits, an artificial intelligence (AI) and cognitive computing company, today announced it has appointed Dr. Shahram Farhadi as the Head of Oil and Gas Technologies. Shahram will lead Beyond Limits as the company continues to develop next generation artificial intelligence powered solutions for the energy industry.

Dr. Farhadi brings his deep domain knowledge of the oil and gas industry and is an expert in adapting cutting edge technology with current operational and technological resources within the energy sector. Before joining Beyond Limits, Dr. Farhadi worked with Occidental Petroleum Corporation on many high-profile projects including unconventional exploration and chemical flooding. Most recently he worked on simulations of a propulsion component for the Orion project. Dr. Farhadi has also developed many software solutions including "Digital Rock Physics Platform" and "Fast Fracture Analysis," and has been published in many leading journals on topics including porous media characterization and flow modeling. He holds a Ph.D. in Petroleum Engineering from the University of Southern California.
