BHG to begin managing hotel in Minas Gerais

SAO PAULO, May 17, 2012 /PRNewswire/ -- BHG S.A. – Brazil Hospitality Group (BM&FBovespa: BHGR3; OTC: BZHGY) will begin managing the Hotel Presidente, in Uberlandia, the largest city in the Minas Gerais triangle region on May 22, 2012. This is the Company's first operation in the state of Minas Gerais.

The three-star hotel will undergo a renovation of its public areas before becoming part of the Tulip Inn brand. Located in Praça Tubal Vilela, in a historic region of Uberlandia, the hotel is only 7.5 km from the airport and is close to stores, shopping malls and banks.

The second most populous city in Minas Gerais after the state capital, Belo Horizonte, Uberlandia has become consolidated over the years as a strategic location for distribution centers due to its ease of access. The city has received investments of R$3.5 billion since 2005.

According to Pieter J. F. van Voorst Vader, CEO of BHG S.A – Brazil Hospitality Group, "this is our first operational hotel in Minas Gerais and we are certain we are doing the right thing. Uberlandia is highly strategic for BHG and the region's growing GDP will fuel demand for hotels geared towards business travel."

Currently, the Hotel Presidente has 125 rooms and a complete event structure with meeting rooms. Other facilities include a guest parking lot, international restaurant, bar, wireless internet access, roof-top swimming pool and deck, a panoramic view of the city, a steam sauna and a fully-equipped gym.

The hotel will be the 17th third-party undertaking operated by BHG, which has 46 hotels in its portfolio, with a total of 8,431 rooms.
