Big Wins and Deep Runs Highlight Americas Cardroom's Venom Week

From a $446K double final-table finish to an 80-cent satellite journey, standout results spanned the Dual Venoms and Specials.

SAN JOSÉ, Costa Rica, Oct. 26, 2026 /PRNewswire/ -- Americas Cardroom's October Dual Venom Progressive Knockout tournaments concluded October 21 with Ukraine's "Pepareg1" reaching both final tables and earning $446,143.51, including bounties. The player placed third in No-Limit Hold'em for $281,470.65 and second in Pot-Limit Omaha for $164,672.86.

The $5 million guaranteed NLH event drew 2,143 entries for a $5,357,500 prize pool. The $1.5 million guaranteed PLO event drew 602 entries for $1,505,000. Both carried $2,650 buy-ins; combined pools of $6,862,500 exceeded the guarantees by $362,500.

The NLH champion, "PushLightYear," collected $536,577.13, while Mexico's "tigerseyes" won the PLO event for $239,819.45 following a heads-up deal. Both totals include bounties.

Brazilian ACR Stormer Marcelo Cartana ("CartanaPoker") turned an $0.80 Survivor Flip Step Satellite into an NLH Venom seat through $6, $46 and $350 qualifying steps. Cartana finished 158th for approximately $8,367.

Other highlights included "RaggedRobin" earning $60,430 across two October 19 Venom Specials final tables and Alexandre Vargas ("ilovequeensya") winning a $109 Venom Special for $19,347. Spain's Ignacio Morón ("TIKITAKA11"), runner-up in a 2021 Venom, placed ninth in NLH for approximately $78,832.

The October 18 $1,050 Venom Special Sunday Banana saw Pedro Cavalieri finish second for $78,598 and Pedro Padilha fourth for $41,865.
