Billionaire Stewart Rahr Continues Major Donations

NEW YORK, June 26, 2013 /PRNewswire/ -- On the heels of the record-setting $10 Million Dollar gift to the Make-A-Wish Foundation, gregarious flamboyant billionaire Stewart Rahr recently announced some of the donations he has made in the month of June.

Mr. Rahr is #298 on the Forbes 400 according to Forbes Magazine with a net worth of $1.6 Billion.

• $250,000 to the international aid charity, AMFAR
• $150,000 to the Sheriff's Youth Foundation which is dedicated to providing Los Angeles County youth with safe facilities, planned programs, and tools to thrive and succeed
• $100,000 to the New Venture Fund, a non-profit organization that supports public interest projects in the United States and abroad. They develop partnerships across government, philanthropy, industry, and entertainment to help spread the Connected Learning approach.

Rahr also conducts a regular e-mail trivia game with 700 of his closest friends. The first five to answer trivia questions receive $5,000 from Rahr to the charity of their choice.  Recent beneficiaries of the charity game include:
