Biocompare Names Peter Fung PhD as Managing Editor
SOUTH SAN FRANCISCO, Calif., March 10, 2015 /PRNewswire/ -- Biocompare, the world's most comprehensive and widely-accessed Life Science marketplace, announced today that Dr. Peter Fung has been named Managing Editor. In his new role Dr. Fung will focus on content development for the Biocompare website and associated properties that include a network of enewsletter, social media and mobile channels.
As Managing Editor Dr. Fung will be responsible for the overall editorial execution of Biocompare's content strategy, staying ahead of industry trends and innovations, and will play an important leadership role in the continued success of Biocompare.

Peter comes to Biocompare with more than 19 years of life science industry experience, serving as both an R&D group leader and a Marketing Product Manager. He has a PhD in Molecular and Cellular Biology from Syracuse University and did postdoctoral work at the University of Massachusetts Medical School, examining RNA dependent phosphorylation and hyperphosphorylation events in spliceosome regulation. He has launched more than 23 commercial products, including instrumentation, consumable assay reagent kits and software programs. He has first authored or co-authored publications in Science, MCB, JBC, Nature Methods and PNAS as well as three patents.
Peter's extensive scientific background provides him with a broad perspective on the technology landscape and gives him insight to the challenges scientists face when selecting solutions for their research. This will allow him to create a robust and comprehensive editorial platform that supports Biocompare's core mission – to help the millions of scientists who visit Biocompare annually to become more productive.
