Bipartisan Policy Center Announces 2014 Housing Summit

WASHINGTON, Aug. 12, 2014 /PRNewswire-USNewswire/ -- Hundreds of private-sector experts, elected officials, scholars, and industry leaders will gather at the Bipartisan Policy Center's Housing America's Future: New Directions for National Policy 2014 Housing Summit on September 15 and 16 in Washington, D.C. Speakers will discuss and debate the future of America's housing policy, and the audience will hear from key players representing every segment of the housing and real estate industry.

Featured highlights include: Moody's Mark Zandi on whether Millennials can save the housing market; Treasury's Michael Stegman on the future of the private-label mortgage backed securities market; FHA Commissioner Carol Galante and several former commissioners on the 80th anniversary of the agency; reflections from five former HUD secretaries including Henry Cisneros and Mel Martinez; and Terri Ludwig on housing's impact in changing communities. Bipartisan duo James Carville and Mary Matalin will also provide a political outlook just weeks before the midterm elections.

This two-day, multi-track event will provide a deeper understanding of the housing sector, the policy decisions that help shape it, and the implications for our economy.
