Campaign - "With Love, Birdie & Louie"
WETUMPKA, Ala., May 20, 2025 /PRNewswire/ -- At Birdie & Louie, we believe every pet deserves a full belly and a happy life. That's why we're stepping up in a big way—donating a record-breaking 2 MILLION cans of our premium cat food to shelters, rescues, and food pantries across the country! That's 400,000 pounds of top-tier tuna goodness making its way to cats in need—because no whiskered friend should ever go hungry.
Beginning in March and continuing throughout the summer, we're shipping out these delicious meals to 100+ shelters and rescues from our headquarters in Wetumpka, Alabama, making sure they get into the paws of the cats who need them most.
A Surplus with Purpose
With natural disasters displacing pets, shelters overflowing, and supply chain hiccups affecting animal welfare organizations, we knew we had the chance to turn extra inventory into life-changing opportunities.
And what better time to support our animal welfare organizations, promote pet health and wellness, and encourage adoption than during National Pet Month (May)! The stars aligned, and we knew this was our moment to make a difference.
Partnering for Impact
To make sure these 2 million cans reach the right places, we're working with Best Friends Animal Society to support their incredible network of shelter and rescue partners across the U.S. Best Friends Animal Society is a leading national animal welfare organization working to end the killing of dogs and cats in America's shelters and take the country no-kill, and we're honored to support their efforts by providing healthy, nutritious meals where the need is greatest.
We also extend our heartfelt gratitude to Eleven Logistical Enterprises, whose generous support is making the coordination and delivery of over 100 shipments possible.
Who We Are
Worthy, Family of Brands, a family owned and operated company, founded the Birdie & Louie Pet Food Company in 2021. At Birdie & Louie, we don't just make pet food—we craft meals designed for picky eaters with real, high-quality ingredients like tuna, chicken, papaya, and pineapple (yes, really!) to support digestion, coat health, and overall wellness. All the while delivering our product at the most competitive prices.
A Message from Our Founders
"Birdie & Louie has been incredibly blessed with overwhelming support from pet parents and retailers alike. We couldn't think of a better way to give back than by helping pets and people in need. Natural disasters, overcrowded shelters, and supply shortages have made life tough for a lot of these animals, and we're honored to support Best Friends Animal Society in their work to make all shelters in the US no-kill."
