In his role as Vice-President of Marketing for Bit Stew, Franco leads the company's product marketing and management, marketing communications, and global go-to-market strategy for the company's growth in the Industrial Internet market.
Franco is an experienced marketing, sales and product management executive who has led go-to-market strategies for innovative startups to large global companies. Prior to this role, he led product marketing for GE's Energy Management software solutions within the company's Software Center of Excellence. In this position, Franco was responsible for creating and leading the Energy Management marketing strategy for its software solutions. Prior to joining GE, Franco was President of Leva Energy, a company he cofounded which developed a novel distributed generation system for industrial and commercial companies. As President, Franco's core responsibilities were leading the company's product, marketing, sales, and fundraising strategies. Prior to Leva Energy, Franco held senior level positions in marketing, business development and sales at enterprise software and hardware companies, including Software AG, Seagate and Commerce One. Franco holds a Bachelors of Science Degree in Journalism from Cal Poly in San Luis Obispo, and an MBA from Carlson School of Management at the University of Minnesota in Minneapolis.
Ron Pequette, Vice-President of Sales
As Vice-President of Sales at Bit Stew, Ron is responsible for the worldwide sales and systems engineering team to drive revenue and achieve year-over-year sales growth.
Ron is a veteran of venture-backed startups and rapid-change environments in the high-tech industry, with specific expertise in computing systems and software solutions. He has proven experience in growing sales revenue in early-stage startups, leading sales strategies for multiple markets, building relationships with upper-level decision-makers and selling high-value-proposition solutions.
Prior to joining Bit Stew, Ron was the first salesperson hired on at startup Tropos Networks, where he was directly responsible for closing over 30 major new name accounts and driving significant revenue for Tropos. Ron was named North American Sales Director and led a team of sales and systems engineers as Tropos emerged as the industry leader in mesh networks in the utility, mining and oil and gas industries. After eight years, the company was sold to industry giant ABB. Previous to Tropos, Ron was a sales leader and instrumental in revenue growth at Printrak International which was subsequently acquired by Motorola.
