SAN FRANCISCO, Oct. 15, 2018 /PRNewswire/ -- According to Peter Siegel, MBA, the Founder & Director of BizBen.com, some of the reasons for this decline in small businesses sales last month & overall economic indicators that affected sales included: "Corporate employment is up (unemployment is at an all-time low recently), reducing the number of business buyers in the marketplace (buyers tend to get jobs instead of buying a business when unemployment is high). Summer-end vacations (early in September) were at an all-time high this year (due to higher personal incomes), taking buyers, sellers, and brokers out of the marketplace for up to two weeks in total days during the month. The stock market and home prices were at all-time highs, allowing buyers to utilize more capital for down payments for potential small business purchases. Business purchase financing with SBA loans remained strong for business purchase financing despite that some local and regional lenders have lessened their business acquisition financing programs."
