BKV Energy Provides Lower kWh Fees Based on Market Rates

Eligible Customers Benefit from Lower Rates Within Current Contracts

HOUSTON, Sept. 4, 2025 /PRNewswire/ -- BKV Energy, a residential electricity provider in Texas, recently extended reduced-rate offers to its BKV Energy Plus customers through its "Reduce Your Rate" initiative that offers rate decreases in the middle of customer contracts, for free. Offers were extended to more than 800 of its current customers, who were notified of rate decreases in August and will benefit from the same offers if and when market rates decrease in the future.

The average price decrease offered was 1.4 cents per kWh, with some customers receiving decrease offers as high as 3.7 cents per kWh. Customers who accept the offer will ultimately benefit from lower electricity charges while avoiding the inconvenience and often costly early termination fees associated with switching to a new provider.

How Reduce Your Rate works:
BKV Energy consistently monitors the wholesale market cost of electricity. When wholesale prices drop below the rate at which customers originally signed up for their electricity plans, BKV proactively communicates with them, offering them the opportunity to switch to a cheaper rate in the middle of their current contract.

Customers who take advantage of this unique benefit are able to switch to a new plan with a cheaper energy charge without any additional costs, penalties, or fees, simply paying less per kWh hour moving forward.
