Black Restaurant Week Celebrates 10 Years of Service & Returns to Atlanta to Spotlight Black-Owned Culinary Businesses and Host Golf Tournament Fundraiser Sponsored by Stella Artois

ATLANTA, Aug. 5, 2025 /PRNewswire/ -- Black Restaurant Week LLC is back for its ninth year in Atlanta, running from Sunday, August 3 to Sunday, August 17, with the support of Stella Artois has expanded municipal support from the Airport District Convention & Visitors Bureau, the City of South Fulton CVB and the Atlanta Mayor's office of Film, Entertainment, and Nightlife. This year's campaign spotlights Black-owned culinary businesses with 14 days of community celebration and marketing support.

Black Restaurant Week has generated an estimated $75 million in total economic impact for Atlanta, driven by direct sales, local job support, and spending throughout the city's food and hospitality ecosystem. Atlanta-area participating businesses include T's Brunch Bar, J'ouvert Caribbean Kitchen & Bar, Rays Southern Foods, Zubi's Taco Kitchen, Whisk Breakfast & Brunch, Grand Slam Pizza of Kennesaw.

According to the National Restaurant Association's 2024 Industry Report, restaurateurs are facing increasing challenges where 98% of operators experienced higher labor costs, 97% cited higher food costs, and 38% experienced lowered profits. Additionally, with a decline in corporate DEI support, many Black-owned culinary businesses face disproportionate challenges.

Founded in 2016 by Warren Luckett and managed by Falayn Ferrell and Derek Robinson, Black Restaurant Week helps spotlight Black culinary professionals who lack access to traditional marketing. It has supported over 5,000 chefs, caterers, food trucks, and restaurateurs nationwide.

This year marks the debut of the Bites & Birdies Golf Tournament, hosted by Black Restaurant Week's nonprofit arm Feed the Soul Foundation, in partnership with Stella Artois. Taking place on Saturday, August 9, the two-man scramble tournament blends culinary excellence, networking, and philanthropy to raise funds for underrepresented students pursuing hospitality, culinary, and business careers. The event is open to golfers and non-golfers to support the future generation of business, culinary and hospitality students. To date, the foundation has awarded $85,000 in scholarships to students at HBCUs and Hispanic-Serving Institutions nationwide.
