Blackhawk Specialty Tools Expands Onshore U.S. Footprint

HOUSTON, Dec. 7, 2012 /PRNewswire/ -- Blackhawk Specialty Tools, LLC, announced that it has expanded its onshore operations in the United States through the opening of two new operating facilities. 

Muncy, Pennsylvania

The Company has relocated its Appalachian regional headquarters to a new 17,200 square foot facility located in the Marcellus Energy Park at 285 Marcellus Dr., Muncy, PA  17756.  This facility will drastically increase the Company's presence in the region and will enhance the Company's ability to support its customers throughout the northeastern United States including in the highly prolific Marcellus and Utica shale plays.  The new facility has been equipped with a new state of the art torque machine and has the ability to provide rotating top drive cement heads in multiple sizes and houses a vast inventory of cementing products.  In addition, the Company provides bucking services from this location and will have an advanced hydraulic testing bay. 

Midland, Texas

The Company has also opened up a new district in Midland, TX and will operate through its new 10,000 square foot facility located at 2616 E. I20, Midland, TX  79701.  This facility will expand the Company's Texas presence to the west and allow the Company to support its customers throughout the West Texas and Eastern New Mexico regions including the Permian Basin.  This facility will support cement head operations in the regions but primarily be focused on cementing products and stage tools where we feel we can add significant value to this market.
