Blake's Lotaburger Kicks Off 65th Anniversary Year

ALBUQUERQUE, N.M., Feb. 17, 2017 /PRNewswire/ -- Blake Chanslor put Green Chile Cheeseburgers on the map in 1952, when he served the world's first Lotaburger from a tiny, one-grill stand in Albuquerque, New Mexico.  Today, Blake's Lotaburger has grown to 74 locations across New Mexico, Texas and Arizona and continues to be recognized for its award-winning Hatch Valley Green Chile Cheeseburgers.

This year, in honor of Blake's Lotaburger's milestone 65^th Anniversary, the iconic hamburger chain is announcing a year of special events, special contests – and special programs to "give back" in the community – allowing both Blake's employees and customers to be part of the celebration all year long.

To kick off its anniversary year, Blake's Lotaburger has unveiled a new logo and website – honoring the original, and beloved, Blake's branding by combining it with a fresh, updated twist.  The new site, which showcases the restaurant's growing menu and location information, also now gives people the opportunity to order a fun selection of new Blake's merchandise right from the site – including a variety of fun new anniversary "Limited Edition" t-shirts commemorating "65 Years of Being Awesome."

In addition to the launch of the new logo and website, Blake's is marking its milestone anniversary through the following special initiatives kicking off the year: 

• The launch of the Blake's Facebook page "Trivia Tuesday" – awarding a free LOTA Combo to a randomly selected correct answer to a Blake's trivia question posted on the Blake's Facebook page (www.facebook.com/blakeslota/).
• The kick-off of a special anniversary "Lota Love" campaign – giving Blake's employees the opportunity to be involved in different philanthropies throughout the community and give back to the causes most important to them and their families.
• The announcement of new Blake's Lotaburger restaurant openings in 2017 – including a third location in Tucson, a location in Gilbert, Arizona and a new location close to the Albuquerque airport.
• The sponsorship of the 2017 Isotopes "Kids Fun Run" for the 9^th year in a row with a special birthday celebration planned for the evening of July 29^th- giving the first 3000 attendees a Blake's Lotaburger commemmorative T-Shirt
