Blinds Chalet Introduces New Collection of Unique Window Treatments Designed by HGTV Star John Gidding

PHOENIX, Feb. 15, 2013 /PRNewswire/ -- Blinds Chalet, America's foremost window covering expert, is launching its new John Gidding Collection, designed by John Gidding, host of HGTV's Design To Sell and HGTV's Curb Appeal: The Block. John is a well-respected architect and interior designer. He received a Bachelor of Arts degree in architecture from Yale University and a master's degree in architecture from Harvard's Graduate School of Design.

"The John Gidding Collection is the result of a very 'hands on' collaboration between John and the entire Blinds Chalet Team. What started as a few simple ideas, photographs, sketches, and material swatches has evolved into this incredibly unique line of designer shades," said Jayson Ellingson, CEO of Blinds Chalet.

John explains, "I knew we had created something incredibly unique when we started putting the patterns on windows and watched them come to life. I now get to introduce a line of designer shades that not only look great in any setting but imply softness, warmth, luxury and attention to detail all at the same time."

Instantly familiar, the John Gidding Collection was inspired by tactile elements
we encounter in our daily lives: a favorite sweater or your go-to suit, natural burlap, well-worn jeans, a paper's edge or raw shorn wood. Every pattern has its own family of accents, with seam details inspired by Saville Row, patterns from Turkish rugs, and fresh color palettes that range from in-season to timeless.

The John Gidding Collection will introduce over 100 designs in solid colors, printed textures and patterns. Each of these will be available in light filtering roller shades, blackout roller shades, single cellular shades and double cellular shades in both blackout and light filtering.

The John Gidding Collection re-imagines traditional fashion fabrics for the window in a way that's never been done before. The seam from designer jeans or the stitching from luxurious suits, these have been incorporated into the collection and you can choose to have the design accent on either the right or left side of your window shade, offering a distinct look not found in other treatments. Order free samples and see the difference for yourself.
