BLU Products Announces Exclusive Distributorship Agreement with Brightpoint for the U.S. Market

MIAMI, Nov. 4, 2011 /PRNewswire/ -- BLU Products ("BLU"), a Miami-based mobile device start-up, announced today that it has entered a Distributorship Agreement with Brightpoint, Inc.'s subsidiary, Brightpoint North America L.P. ("Brightpoint"). Brightpoint will serve as the exclusive distributor of BLU's line of mobile devices in the U.S. operator and retail channels.

BLU has a product line of over 20 mobile phones, ranging from feature-rich media phones to Android smartphones. All handsets are FCC approved and HAC approved (hearing aid compatible) devices. BLU mobile devices are already present in almost 40 countries, mainly throughout Latin America. Last month the company completed its second year of operation with a recorded 700% increase in sales as compared to 2010.
