Blue Ice Organic Wheat Vodka Earns Top Honors in 2011 MicroLiquor Spirit Awards

LOS ANGELES, Dec. 7, 2011 /PRNewswire/ -- 21st Century Spirits is proud to announce the prestigious honors awarded to Blue Ice Organic Wheat Vodka in the MicroLiquor Spirit Awards, a spirits competition for small brands from around the world selling under 50,000 9-liter cases annually. Offering a competition forum for boutique brands of similar production and distribution to compare quality in taste and aesthetic design on the same playing field, the MicroLiquor Spirit Awards is the first of its kind competition, aimed at bringing more awareness and resources to small brands.

In its inaugural year, the MicroLiquor Spirit Awards attracted 207 spirits entries from craft producers across the globe. Amid a field of international competitors, judges awarded American-produced Blue Ice Organic Wheat Vodka a Triple Gold Medal, the highest distinction awarded at the competition. Recipients of the Triple Gold Medal indicate Gold Medal designations from the judges in both Taste and Package & Design categories. Only 15 percent of entrants in the competition received this prestigious award.
