BMC Shareholders Reelect All Directors to the Board

BOISE, Idaho, May 3, 2012 /PRNewswire/ -- BMC, one of the nation's leading providers of building materials and construction services, today announced that all of its director nominees were reelected to its Board of Directors at the 2012 Annual Meeting of Shareholders held today.  In addition, shareholders voted to elect two new independent directors, Eugene I. Davis and Robert E. Robotti, expanding the board from seven members to nine members, seven of whom are independent.

Eugene I. Davis

Mr. Davis is chairman and chief executive officer of PIRINATE Consulting Group, LLC, a privately held consulting firm specializing in turnaround management, merger and acquisition consulting and hostile and friendly takeovers, proxy contests and strategic planning advisory services for domestic and international public and private business entities.  Previously, he served as president, vice chairman and director of Emerson Radio Corporation.  Mr. Davis is a director of DEX One Corp., Global Power Equipment Group Inc., Spectrum Brands, Inc., U.S. Concrete, Inc. and WMI Holdings Corp.  He is also a director of Trump Entertainment Resorts, Inc. and Lumenis Ltd., both privately held. Mr. Davis is also on the board of Ambassadors International.

Robert E. Robotti

Mr. Robotti is president and portfolio manager of Robotti & Company Advisors, LLC, a registered investment advisor, and president of Robotti & Company, LLC, a registered Broker dealer founded in 1983. He previously served as chief financial officer of Gabelli & Company, Inc.  He currently serves as a director of Panhandle Oil & Gas Company, Pulse Seismic Inc. and Bishop Capital Corporation.
