Bo Jackson 3rd Annual Celebrity Charity Golf Classic to Benefit Give Me A Chance Foundation
CHICAGO, April 1, 2011 /PRNewswire-USNewswire/ -- Bo Jackson will be hosting the 3rd Annual Celebrity Charity Golf Classic on Friday, June 24, 2011, at Old Oaks Country Club in Homer Glen, IL. The event will benefit the Give Me A Chance Foundation, dedicated to guiding disadvantaged youth toward personal and professional growth... All proceeds will go toward the development and support of the many athletic/educational programs offered by the foundation. Last year's event drew a virtual "Who's Who" list of top name sport celebrities, TV and radio personalities and recording artists, from virtually every pro-sport and entertainment sector. Guests will have the extraordinary opportunity to mingle, dine or golf with the likes of Bo Jackson, Jim McMahon, Richard Dent, Stan Makita and many others. The program includes a continental breakfast, driving range, a round of golf, lunch, attendee gift bag, dinner, and DJ entertainment. In addition, the day will be highlighted by an extensive silent and live auction featuring rare sports/entertainment collectibles, along with prizes, awards, contests and photo opportunities with the stars.
The foundation is extremely proud to have a number of Fortune 500 sponsors for this event including Nike, Mercedes Benz, Navistar, Best Buy, BMW, FedEx, Subway and many other top corporations. Additional sponsorship opportunities range from Hole Sponsor, Longest Drive, Hole-In-One, Closest to the Pin and more. Media are invited to attend the event.
"The driving force behind the Give Me A Chance Foundation is to 'give back' the time, understanding and guidance underprivileged kids never have the chance to experience. Our programs have positively impacted the lives of hundreds of disadvantaged children. Events like our Celebrity Charity Golf Classic significantly broaden the framework of the foundation and strengthen our position in the charity arena," said Werner Koos, Board of Directors President, Give Me A Chance Foundation.
Not a golfer? There are many other opportunities to get involved in this worthwhile event. Those interested are welcome to donate a prize for inclusion in the silent auction or raffle, volunteer or make a cash donation. The Give Me A Chance Foundation is an all volunteer, nonprofit 501c3 corporation, with all donations fully tax deductible.
