Board Names Larsen President of Wisconsin Power and Light Company

MADISON, Wis., Oct. 29 /PRNewswire-FirstCall/ -- Wisconsin Power and Light Company (WPL), a subsidiary of Alliant Energy Corporation (NYSE: LNT) announced today that its Board of Directors has elected John O. Larsen to serve as President of WPL as of December 1, 2010.

In this role, Larsen will be replacing Barbara J. Swan, current President of WPL, General Counsel and Chief Administrative Officer. Swan is retiring later this year.

In addition to his role as President of WPL, Larsen will continue to serve as Senior Vice President – Generation for Alliant Energy. He also remains on the Board of the University of Wisconsin – Platteville School of Engineering and chairs the Junior Achievement of WisconsinDane Board. He will remain located in Madison, Wisconsin.
