Boardroom Tycoon Pitches Player Against Player in the Battle for Share Market Supremacy

Global domination could be in the palm of your hand, thanks to an Australian made app designed especially for budding entrepreneurs and potential tycoons.

Boardroom Tycoon allows players to build a company from the ground up, competing in real-time against real players to hire and fire staff, complete deals, attempt takeovers and acquire income-generating assets from five different sectors, to build up your share price and battle for a place at the top of the leaderboard.

Well on its way to 100,000 downloads from the iTunes App Store and Google Play, this first of its kind game is taking the world by storm.

CPA Australia chief executive, Alex Malley, said unlike other games in which players compete against a computer, Boardroom Tycoon pitches player against player in the cut throat world of running a corporation and the battle for market supremacy.

"We designed this game with two things in mind: we wanted it to be fun, first and foremost, but we also wanted players to be able to take something away in terms of lessons on how business really works and what it takes to build a successful company.

Mr Malley said because of the games global reach players had the added challenge of competing across time zones.
