Boardwalk Rental Communities hosted its second Monopoly Tournament with one Resident winning six months of free rent

CALGARY, Oct. 10, 2013 /PRNewswire/ - Boardwalk Real Estate Investment Trust (TSX: BEI.UN)

Boardwalk Rental Communities ("Boardwalk") hosted its second Monopoly Tournament for their Edmonton, AB, Residents beginning September 14, 2013, with 65 participants playing in the first round. After four previous rounds totaling six hours, the tournament concluded on October 5, 2013, with three finalists competing against two Boardwalk Associates: Angel Padilla, Small Capital Projects Coordinator and Kelly Mahajan, VP Customer Service. The three finalists, Duane Couteriell, David White and Amir Sajedian, are all Residents in various Edmonton Boardwalk Communities.

The contestant coming in first place Duane Couteriell, received six (6) months of free rent, an approximate value of $6,000. The second place contestant, Amir Sajedian, received one (1) month of free rent, an approximate value of $1100, while the third place contestant, David White, received an iPad3.

Duane Couteriell, winner of the tournament, said, "Winning the six months free rent provides a break for my wife who works long, hard hours and gives us the ability to go visit our daughter who we haven't seen in a long time. This couldn't have come at a better time and I want to thank Boardwalk for hosting this great event."
