Bobby Ford Named Chair of Oak's Executive Advisory Board
Veteran CISO will lead advisory board as the growth of human, machine, and AI agent identities outpaces the systems built to govern them
SAN FRANCISCO, Oct. 6, 2026 /PRNewswire/ -- Oak, the AI-native Identity Operating System governing every human, machine, and AI agent identity, has appointed Bobby Ford, Chief Strategy Officer at Doppel, as the chair of its Executive Advisory Board. In this independent role, Ford will advise Oak's leadership on corporate strategy, go-to-market execution, customer and partner engagement, and executive communications, while helping the company deepen its relationships across the CISO, enterprise security and IAM communities.
Ford is one of the most accomplished and trusted security executives of his generation, having served as Chief Information Security Officer at major global organizations, transitioning to Chief Strategy Officer. Before Doppel, Ford spent nearly 15 years as an operator, most recently as the SVP/CSO at Hewlett Packard Enterprise, Global CISO at Unilever, and the first Global CISO at Abbott and Exelis, Inc. He has deep operational expertise across enterprise cyber, social-engineering defense, and IAM. He brings operational, strategic, and go-to-market expertise to high-growth, venture-backed security companies.
"Identity was already one of the hardest problems in enterprise security, and AI agents accelerated it," said Ford. "Every organization is preparing to run a workforce of non-human identities acting on behalf of real people, at machine speed, across systems that were never designed for it. Oak is tackling that problem with the skill and urgency it requires. What attracted me to Oak was the team. Founders like Shai and Tal, as well as the people around them, have the talent, drive, and operating discipline to build something category-defining, and that's a rare combination. I'm proud to be joining Oak's journey."
"Bobby has earned the trust of the global security community by doing hard things at the highest level," said Shai Morag, CEO and Co-Founder of Oak. "I'm excited to see what we build together, a genuine partnership between our team and the world's top security leaders, learning from each other and moving fast."
The appointment follows Oak's emergence from stealth in July with $60 million in seed funding, and marks a significant milestone in Oak's growth as the company deepens its engagement with large enterprises and the security executives who lead them.
