Boca Grove Golf & Tennis Club Announces New General Manager
BOCA RATON, Fla., Feb. 10, 2015 /PRNewswire/ -- Boca Grove Golf & Tennis Club -- Boca Grove Golf & Tennis Club is pleased to announce its new General Manager/COO, David Gourlay CCM CCE.
Before joining Boca Grove, David Gourlay CCM CCE was General Manager/COO at Lakewood Country Club, Westlake, Ohio, where he was responsible for initiating and hosting the Web.com Professional Golf Tournament (2013-2015), overseeing the design and build of a $9M new Clubhouse, and managing a highly successful new membership program. He successfully managed the 365 member country club and led 160 employees.
Gourlay also held several other leadership roles including General Manager/COO at Colbert Hills, Manhattan, KS, where he oversaw the day-to-day operations of the club, and General Manager & CEO at the highly respected Summerlea Golf & Country Club, Vaudreuil-Dorion, Quebec, where he led essential club and facility enhancements to procedures and operational strategies.
Gourlay holds a Bachelor of Science Degree from Texas A & M University, College Station, TX, and an Associate Degree in Agriculture, with a specialization in Agronomy. Gourlay is an active member of the Club Managers Association of America (CMAA) and was President of the Oklahoma/Kansas CMAA. Gourlay also was invited to be an Adjunct Professor at the Kansas State University teaching classes in Professional Club Management for 10 years. David Gourlay has earned the highest certifications with the CMAA by obtaining both the Certified Club Manager and the Certified Chief Executive Designations.
As General Manager Boca Grove, Gourlay will oversee the club's operations under the direction of the Board of Directors, including the management of the newly announced Non-Resident Annual Golf Membership*.
