Boca Grove's Executive Chef Awarded 2012 "Chef of the Year" by the American Culinary Federation's Palm Beach County Chapter

BOCA RATON, Fla., Dec. 11, 2012 /PRNewswire/ -- Boca Grove Golf and Tennis Club, a premier golf club in Boca Raton, Fla., is thrilled to announce that Executive Chef, Dominick Laudia, CEC, AAC, was honored with the 2012 "Chef of the Year" award from the American Culinary Federation's Palm Beach County Chapter.

This award is nominated and voted on by 300 members of the American Culinary Federation Palm Beach Chapter, and is considered the highest honor bestowed by the ACF. "Chef of the Year" recognizes exceptional culinary skill coupled with advancing cuisine in America and giving back to the cooking profession through mentoring and fostering apprenticeships.

Laudia said, "It's an honor to receive this award and to have been nominated by my peers. It feels great to be included among some of Palm Beach County's premier chefs."

This is the second time Laudia has won the coveted annual "Chef of the Year" award for ACF's Palm Beach County Chapter; he received the award in 2000.

Chef Laudia, who currently serves as the ACF's Palm Beach County chapter President, has been awarded more than 20 culinary competition medals from the American Culinary Federation. He is also a community leader and sits on the Community Advisory Board at West Boca Community High School where he is involved with Cafe Calaloo, a laboratory restaurant fully operated by upper-level students at the school's culinary academy.
