Boca Raton Country Clubs Continue Tradition for 26th Annual Feed the Hungry Thanksgiving Dinner

BOCA RATON, Fla., Nov. 19, 2010 /PRNewswire-USNewswire/ -- St. Andrews Country Club, Addison Reserve Country Club, Boca Grove Golf and Tennis Club and The Polo Club of Boca Raton continued the tradition of coming together to aid Congregation B'nai Israel of Boca Raton and Ebenezer Missionary Baptist Church in their 26th consecutive Feed the Hungry Program that provides Thanksgiving dinner to over 2,500 area residents on November 23. St. Andrews Country Club became involved last year when the partnership abruptly found themselves without their annual donation from Mario's, a Bova Restaurant as a result of the Scott Rothstein investigation.

The partnership once again contacted Craig Martin, Chief Operating Officer and General Manager of St. Andrews Country Club to reach out to his colleagues to provide side dishes this year.  Martin commented, "Our participation last year was rewarding for all parties involved and I am once again honored by the St. Andrews Country Club Board of Governors and my fellow Club Managers Association members who again offered without hesitation to provide all of the items requested."

Between the four country clubs enough mashed potatoes, sweet potatoes, rolls, vegetables and stuffing is being provided to help Congregation B'nai Israel of Boca Raton and Ebenezer Missionary Baptist Church once again continue their commitment to feed those who need a little help and a warm smile this year. Over 2,500 people, mostly children, come from Boca Raton, Deerfield Beach, Delray Beach and West Palm Beach and are expected to partake in this 26 year old tradition of fellowship, love and respect. Each person will also leave with a small leftover treasure for them to eat during the rest of the week.
