BonitaSoft Open Source BPM Surpasses Half a Million Downloads

- Demand for Bonita Open Solution Grows 4000% in Under a Year

BonitaSoft, the leading provider of open source BPM solutions, today surpassed 500,000 downloads of Bonita Open Solution, the company's open source business process management (BPM) suite. This significant milestone comes less than a year after BonitaSoft first released Bonita Open Solution 5.0, when downloads accelerated from 1,000 per month to 40,000 per month.

In January 2010, BonitaSoft unveiled Bonita Open Solution 5.0, the company's first packaged distribution of the Bonita project. The company has subsequently delivered three software upgrades for Bonita Open Solution this year, with version 5.3 being released on October 19. Downloads of Bonita have increased exponentially over the past year, averaging 40,000 per month in 2010. Over one-third of these downloads have come from the U.S. market; in that time, BonitaSoft has added a number of high-profile North American companies to its growing customer list.

As interest in Bonita has surged, BonitaSoft has expanded beyond its base in the EMEA market to better meet the growing global demand. Last month, they opened their first North American offices (in San Francisco and Boston) as well as an R&D center in Beijing, China.
