BOSH Global Services Pledges to Hire and Retain Veterans
NEWPORT NEWS, Va., June 28, 2013 /PRNewswire/ -- BOSH Global Services (BOSH) received a Silver Certification from the Virginia Department of Veterans Services (DVS) in recognition of its dedication to hiring and retaining veterans. As a participant in the Virginia Values Veterans (V3) Program, a veteran talent acquisition and retention system offered by the DVS, BOSH received training and education on recruiting, hiring, training and retaining veterans, as well as information on how to gain access to veterans through existing systems. BOSH received the Silver Certification by pledging to hire five veterans, ultimately hiring 13, and pledging to retain them.
"We are honored to receive such recognition from the Commonwealth," said BOSH president Robert Fitzgerald. "Veterans present a skilled, experienced, motivated workforce with the same selfless values that BOSH promotes. Hiring veterans is a no-brainer for us." Fitzgerald attended the V3 reception earlier this month.
The V3 Program is designed to reduce veteran unemployment while boosting Virginia's economy through a statewide initiative helping veterans find and maintain employment. To learn more, visit www.virginiavaluesvets.com.
