Boston 3-Day Breast Cancer Walkers Cheered by Get In Shape For Women
NEEDHAM, Mass., July 19, 2011 /PRNewswire/ -- On July 22nd Get In Shape For Women studio-owners, managers, personal trainers, clients and corporate staff will be hosting a cheering station to support the Susan G. Komen 3-Day for the Cure walkers.
Over the following three days, thousands of women and men take to the streets around Boston to walk 60 miles in a courageous display of commitment to the fight against breast cancer in the Susan G. Komen for the Cure®. Get In Shape For Women (GISFW) will show its support by hosting its cheering station between 1-3pm on Main Street in Waltham on Friday, the first day of the walk.
At their location GISFW will have pink ribbons for cheering bystanders to pin-on and wristbands to hand out to walkers. Ten, purple polka-dotted GISFW Mini Coopers will line that section of the road adding to the positive support and enthusiasm for the event.
Net proceeds from the 3-Day for the Cure fund innovative global breast cancer research and local community programs supporting education, screening and treatment. GISFW offers small group personal training. Up to 4 women share a personal trainer and follow a comprehensive program based on four principles: weight training, cardio, nutrition and accountability.
