Boyd Gaming Names Rutherford General Manager of Par-A-Dice

LAS VEGAS, June 2, 2011 /PRNewswire/ -- Boyd Gaming Corporation (NYSE: BYD) today announced that Cori Rutherford has been named Vice President and General Manager of Par-A-Dice Hotel and Casino.

Rutherford, 37, was previously Director of Operations at the property.  She is the fourth woman to be named to a GM post at a Boyd Gaming property, joining Kerrie Burke (Gold Coast), Toni Burns (Sam's Town Tunica) and Kim Etland (Sam's Town Shreveport).

A fifth-generation native of the greater Peoria area, Rutherford first joined Par-A-Dice in 1994.  After serving in various management positions at properties throughout the Midwest, Rutherford rejoined Par-A-Dice in 2005 as Director of Marketing, before being promoted to Director of Operations in 2010.

In other news, Par-A-Dice today announced that it would be hosting a custom car show featuring the Good Guys Rod & Custom Association and the Central Illinois Cruisers on Tuesday, July 5, from 3 p.m. to 9 p.m.  About 250 cars are expected to be on display at this year's event, with a portion of the proceeds benefiting the Neighborhood House Association, a Peoria-based non-profit that provides a safe haven with comprehensive services to meet the social, emotional and material needs of individuals and families, from infancy to the elderly.

Admission to the event is free. Activities will include raffle drawings, door prizes and a 50/50 drawing.  Food and drinks will be available, with proceeds going to the Neighborhood House.
