Bozzuto's Extends Partnership with SmartDrive to Improve Safety and Reduce Costs

SAN DIEGO, May 19, 2014 /PRNewswire/ -- SmartDrive Systems, a leader in driving performance solutions that reduce collisions and improve fuel efficiency, today announced that Bozzuto's Inc., a leading total service wholesale distributor of food and household products to retailers in New England, New York, New Jersey and Pennsylvania, has extended its partnership with SmartDrive Systems for an additional three years. A SmartDrive customer since 2011, Bozzuto's has experienced marked improvement in its fleet safety, leading to sustainable cost reduction.

With a strong focus on customer service, Bozzuto's recognized that its success in transportation and warehouse operations depended on a strong safety culture, leading to deployment of SmartDrive's video-based safety solution across its fleet of 250 vehicles.

With its unique open-platform approach, SmartDrive captures the broadest spectrum of risk in the industry, which enabled Bozzuto's to achieve an immediate improvement in safety while also continuing to deliver results in the second and third years of the program – a key factor for the renewal.

Over the lifetime of the program, Bozzuto's has seen a remarkable 95 percent reduction in CSA Unsafe Driving Measure.
