Brady Murray Takes Helm Of MassMutual Intermountain West

SALT LAKE CITY, Sept. 4, 2013 /PRNewswire/ -- The Massachusetts Mutual Life Insurance Company (MassMutual) has appointed Brady Murray as general agent for MassMutual Intermountain West.

Murray, a financial services veteran, will oversee the Salt Lake City region for the FORTUNE 100 company and concentrate on building a team of experienced financial professionals to help area residents gain financial security and coach small businesses to thrive with sound financial strategies that will complement Utah's strong economic environment.

MassMutual Intermountain West has nearly 20,000 clients in the Salt Lake City region and over $4 billion of life insurance in force protecting area families and businesses, according to MassMutual's 2013 Measures of Community Value Report.

Murray plans to increase MassMutual's already strong presence in Utah by opening district offices in Utah County, Davis County and Cache County within the next 24 months.  One of their areas of focus includes helping families with special needs with MassMutual's SpecialCare^SM program which provides access to information, specialists and financial products and services that can help improve the quality of life for people with disabilities and special needs.

Helping people with special needs is also a personal passion for Murray. As a father of a son with Down syndrome, Murray founded Racing for Orphans with Down Syndrome (RODS Racing), dedicating his personal time and efforts to help orphaned children with Down syndrome become united with loving families. Murray has completed numerous Ironman Triathlons for RODS Racing including the Ironman World Championship in Kona, Hawaii where he and his son were featured on the 2012 NBC Ironman Broadcast.

In addition to his work with RODS, Murray serves on the board of directors for Wasatch Social Ventures, a nonprofit designed to both educate and provide funding for entrepreneurs in developing countries and the National Advisory Board of the Huntsman School of Business at Utah State University.

Murray resides in Alpine with his wife Andrea and their three children.
