All these regions are located in North, Northeast and Midwest of the country,and in order to connect these power generation sources with power demanding zones, an estimated 25,000 kms of additional transmission lines are planned to be added between the period 2013-16, which translates into 500,000 km or about 1 million MT of overhead conductors.
