Breakfast or Burger? Whisk Atlanta Says Why Choose? Meet the French Toast Burger Shaking Up Brunch on Atlanta's Southside

A half-pound burger, candied bacon, fried egg, and Bourbon maple aioli between slices of French toast deliver a bold twist on two American favorites.

ATLANTA, Oct. 27, 2026 /PRNewswire/ -- Forget everything you thought you knew about French toast. At Whisk Breakfast & Brunch, the breakfast classic has been reinvented into something unexpected, indulgent, and impossible to ignore.

Meet the French Toast Burger — a juicy half-pound burger stacked with a fried egg, candied bacon, and cheese, drizzled with Bourbon maple aioli, and nestled between slices of French toast. Served with fries, it's the ultimate answer to the age-old brunch dilemma: breakfast or lunch?

At Whisk, you don't have to choose.

The combination brings together sweet, savory, crispy, and comforting flavors in a creation designed to turn heads and satisfy appetites.

But behind this unconventional burger is a bigger story about entrepreneurship, community pride, and changing the conversation around Atlanta's Southside.

A Big Burger. A Bigger Vision.

While much of Atlanta's culinary spotlight gravitates toward Buckhead, Midtown, and other established dining districts, Whisk owners Tiasha and Hurley James are making a compelling case for looking south.

Through Whisk Breakfast & Brunch and their growing hospitality portfolio, the entrepreneurs are creating memorable dining experiences while investing in the community they proudly serve.

"We want people to think differently about what they can experience right here on the Southside," said Tiasha James, co-owner of Whisk. "We're proud of where we're building, and we want our food, our businesses, and our commitment to this community to give people another reason to celebrate it."

The French Toast Burger captures that spirit: creative, confident, and unapologetically bold.

Not Your Average Brunch. Not Your Average Story.

For the James family, Whisk represents more than a restaurant. Alongside The Bistro by Whisk and Café Whisk, their hospitality ventures reflect a commitment to creating gathering spaces, supporting local entrepreneurship, and demonstrating that Atlanta's Southside deserves a place in the city's culinary conversation.

And sometimes, the best way to start a conversation is with something nobody saw coming.

Because great food doesn't need a ZIP code to make a statement.
