Breaking Boundaries: Woman-owned Cameo Advisory Group Knows Consulting is More than the Traditional, 'One-size-fits-all' Approach
Cameo Advisory Group brings female leadership, flexibility, and client-focused solutions to the consulting industry.
HOUSTON, Sept. 20, 2016 /PRNewswire/ -- Cameo Advisory Group celebrates its official launch today, offering services in Business and Change Management; Governance, Risk, and Compliance; Learning Programs and Talent Development.
Managing Director Heather Yanak, with nearly 20 years in the legal, compliance, and leadership management industries, has founded Cameo Advisory Group because she recognizes a broader lens is necessary in the business consulting world. "Cameo Advisory initially grew out of a desire to promote women and diversity in the workplace," says Yanak. "When I looked around the consulting industry, there weren't enough women leaders. Women comprised 40% of the workforce, but were largely underrepresented in senior leadership roles. I was often asked to mentor younger women, but increasingly struggled to find a strong female mentor myself as I rose through my career."
Ms. Yanak believes that having a diversity of representation, as well as experience and opinion, is at the heart of good consulting. "Everyone on our team is an expert in their respective areas, but they also bring with them a unique set of life experiences and viewpoints that, as a whole, equal a broader, fresh perspective – which is essential for today's organizations whose own workforce and footprint is constantly evolving. Our team is encouraged to have a full range of interests in and outside of the office – interesting people produce interesting work." The founder's philosophy directly impacts how Cameo Advisory Group assesses and addresses its clients' needs.
Cameo Advisory is focused on developing an organization's greatest asset – its corporate talent – by simplifying barriers to success, evolving mindsets, and cultivating positive behavior to produce lasting results. Often consultancies approach clients and their projects in a formulaic way. At Cameo Advisory, no 'one-size-fits-all' or 'old-school' methodology will do. Getting to the heart of each client's unique issue and working to solve an organization's puzzle is where the joy of the job is derived.
Ms. Yanak will be representing Cameo Advisory Group on September 21st in Orlando, Florida at the Wolters Kluwer ELM16 User Conference and on September 27th in Chicago, Illinois at The Society of Corporate Compliance and Ethics 15th Annual Compliance & Ethics Institute.
