Breakthrough Entertainment Combines Forces with Vast Entertainment for New Joint Venture Partnership

TORONTO and LOS ANGELES, April 8, 2019 /PRNewswire/ -- Breakthrough Entertainment, one of Canada's leading studios, continues their expansion into the US market, having finalized a new strategic partnership with Lane Shefter Bishop's Los Angeles based Vast Entertainment. The venture will task Vast to produce and direct both romantic holiday films and female-lead thrillers, while Breakthrough will serve as international distributor.

The pact covers 6-8 TV movies produced over eighteen months in both Canada and the United States, starting with "Switch" a dark thriller about the murder of one sister's twin. The movies will target the North American TV market for buyers such as Lifetime, Netflix, and Hallmark, and will be produced for international distribution.

Bishop is a multi-award-winning producer/director who has received numerous accolades for her work including an EMMY, and she has made Vast Entertainment the go-to book-to-screen company.
