This year's dynamic lineup of speakers features Brian Copeland, the actor, comedian, radio talk show host, playwright and author whose hit one-man-show "Not a Genuine Black Man" is the longest running solo act in San Francisco history. Guests will also hear from women basketball greats Tara VanDerveer and Jennifer Azzi and humanitarian stand-up comic Michael Pritchard.
The Role Model Award will honor Sharon Williams, JobTrain's long-time Executive Director who is retiring this year. The Community Champion Award will be presented to Facebook, and the Employer Champion Award will recognize the San Francisco Public Utilities Commission. Hewlett-Packard will receive special recognition for their significant and consistent support of JobTrain (OICW) since its founding in 1965. The heart of the Breakfast is the Alumni Awards, presented to JobTrain graduates who have turned their lives around. United Airlines sponsors a "Where I Want to Fly and Why" essay contest for students.
