Bridgepoint Education to Occupy Downtown San Diego Office Building

SAN DIEGO, March 15 /PRNewswire-FirstCall/ -- Bridgepoint Education, Inc. (NYSE: BPI), a provider of postsecondary education services focused on providing higher access to higher education, is pleased to announce that it will open a fifth location in San Diego.

The company's newest building, located in downtown San Diego at 600 B Street, will be used for administrative space to support Bridgepoint's Ashford University and University of the Rockies online learners.  In addition, the first floor will highlight the newly formed Bridgepoint Education Foundation and its community partners throughout the San Diego region.  The 28,000 square-foot office space will house more than 100 Bridgepoint employees, and company signage will be visible in the San Diego skyline.

With this new downtown location at 600 B Street, the three buildings at its Sabre Springs headquarters on Evening Creek Drive North, and the Sunroad Spectrum building in Kearny Mesa, Bridgepoint Education now occupies nearly 600,000 square feet of office space in San Diego and employs 2,600 full-time, non-faculty people in the San Diego area.
