Broadband Access Equipment Market up 7 Percent Q/Q As Fiber and Fixed Wireless Providers Continue to Steal Cable Subscribers, According to Dell'Oro Group

DOCSIS Infrastructure and CPE Spending at Its Lowest Level Since 2009

REDWOOD CITY, Calif., Sept. 10, 2025 /PRNewswire/ -- According to a recently published report from Dell'Oro Group, the trusted source for market information about the telecommunications, security, networks, and data center industries, total global revenue for the Broadband Access equipment market increased to $4.7 B in 2Q 2025, up 7 percent Q/Q and 1 percent Y/Y. Despite the high level of macroeconomic uncertainty, fiber and fixed wireless providers remained focused on expanding their subscriber numbers at the expense of cable operators.

• Spending on 5G Fixed Wireless CPE reached another record high this quarter, as operators in the US, India, and a growing list of markets continue to expand their Fixed Wireless Access subscribers.
• Spending on DOCSIS infrastructure declined 13 percent Y/Y, due to continued softness in spending on Remote PHY Devices (RPDs), as well as a slowdown in new vCMTS license purchases.
