Brooks Brothers Names Matteo Del Vecchio Vice President, Strategy & Corporate Development

NEW YORK, May 17, 2012 /PRNewswire/ -- Brooks Brothers Group, Inc. today announced the appointment of Matteo Del Vecchio to the position of Vice President, Strategy and Corporate Development.

In this newly created position, Mr. Del Vecchio will be responsible for leading specific business development projects across a variety of areas including finance, technology, wholesale and manufacturing. He will also be responsible for evaluating internal and external strategic growth opportunities.

Mr. Del Vecchio joins Brooks Brothers from Goldman Sachs & Co where he most recently served as Vice President in the Investment Banking Division, spending time in both the New York and Sao Paulo offices. Before that he was a business analyst with McKinsey & Company in Milan. He holds a law degree from Universita Commerciale L. Bocconi in Milan and an MBA in finance and management from Columbia Business School.

Mr. Del Vecchio begins at Brooks Brothers on May 11, and will be located at the company's Headquarters in New York City. He will report to Claudio Del Vecchio, Chairman & CEO.
