NEW YORK, June 26, 2012 /PRNewswire/ -- Brown Brothers Harriman (BBH) announced today the launch of the firm's Global Portfolio Strategy research product, under the leadership of Robert Hughes, one of the firm's senior market strategists.
The BBH Global Portfolio Strategy product, available now to BBH clients, offers global and regional equity portfolio managers a consistent analytical framework for making regional, country and sector based global equity decisions.
"We are very pleased to introduce the new Global Portfolio Strategy product," said Mr. Hughes who is responsible for BBH's global equity strategy research. "This is a major expansion of our portfolio strategy platform, extending the process-driven approach that has long been a key characteristic of BBH U.S. Portfolio Strategy to global equity markets."
Mr. Hughes joined BBH in 2011 and previously held senior research positions at State Street Global Markets and Prudential Securities. The foundation for his team's research is a framework focused on earnings estimates and estimate revisions, valuations, macroeconomic data, fundamental data, and a qualitative analysis of trends in geopolitics and policy variables.
"This product complements the existing BBH research suite, adding a new perspective on regional and global sector equity allocations. When combined with our international stock-level earnings analysis, it provides another layer of tools to help portfolio managers with their global equity investment decisions," said Andrew Burkly, Director of Equity Strategy Research. "We believe this new addition to the BBH equity research platform will be very useful for our clients and welcome their feedback."
