BTR Diamond Technology Reviews Rate Sunrise Telecom Test Platforms Among Top Solutions Available Today
RxT Smart Productivity Test Platform with realGATE, AT2500RQ QAM CATV Video Spectrum Analyzer, and CM3000 Cable Modem Network and Spectrum Analyzer Receive High Ratings for Innovation, Ease-of-Use, Efficiency, Reliability, and Contribution to Profitability
SAN JOSE, Calif., Oct. 20, 2011 /PRNewswire/ -- Sunrise Telecom® Incorporated (OTC: SRTI) today announced three of its market-leading test, monitoring and workflow management solutions designed for cable, telecom and wireless operators, have been recognized among the best in the industry by Broadband Technology Report's (BTR) 2011 Diamond Technology Review program.
The BTR Diamond Technology Reviews ("the Diamonds") is a renowned industry program that was developed to recognize some of the top products and solutions available to the broadband industry as determined by a panel of MSO engineering experts. According to BTR, the criteria used in the Diamonds rankings include, first and foremost, unique technology or application thereof, innovation, ease of use, efficiency, reliability, and contribution to profitability.
The products and solutions submitted for review can receive a maximum of 5 Diamonds with scores of 4 Diamonds or higher being considered the elite ratings. Sunrise Telecom's RxT Smart Productivity Test Platform with realGATE, the first fully-connected, workflow-optimized, smart productivity test platform, received 4.5 Diamonds. The AT2500RQ (v4) QAM CATV Video Spectrum Analyzer, a best-in-class CATV spectrum analyzer that provides enhanced Modulation Error Rate (MER) performance, was given a 4 Diamond rating. The company's CM3000 Cable Modem Network and Spectrum Analyzer, a full-featured plant maintenance analyzer which features a one-button proof-of-performance feature to assure simple and seamless validation of required network compliance to stringent FCC standards, received a 3.5 Diamond rating.
Impressed by the RxT Smart Productivity Test Platform with realGATE, one of the judges commented, "the RxT platform will simplify turn-up, analysis and maintenance of data networks. This GUI-based platform (with communications and maintenance management capabilities) does not require a laptop. Available hardware modules plug into the display/control unit to provide quick-change flexibility for testing and analysis of a comprehensive suite of digital networking technologies, while forward compatibility protects the operator's investment."
Another judge explained, "The RXT allows technicians to analyze multiple services, create 'birth certificates' and review past tests. Supervisors or tiered support can connect remotely to view issues that techs are encountering in the field. Very smart!"
The AT2500RQ QAM CATV Video Spectrum Analyzer also impressed the judges. "Sunrise Telecom has introduced a full featured, competitively priced spectrum analyzer. This device will attract interest from budget minded operators who have launched additional QAM digital services and need to measure their performance in the field. At less than half the price of comparable sets from other manufacturers, Sunrise Telecom has set a new standard for price and performance. "
"The receipt of these outstanding ratings from BTR validates the efforts of our team to provide to the market test and measurement solutions that offer industry-leading innovation, functionality and capabilities that enable MSOs to deliver residential and business services to their customers efficiently and effectively," said Bahaa Moukadam, chief executive officer of Sunrise Telecom. "While the program recognized three of our solutions among the best-in-class, we have a comprehensive, and growing, portfolio of test and measurement solutions that increase efficiency, reduce operational costs and optimize productivity for telecom, cable and wireless networks."
