Hundreds of Buldak fans, creators and college communities came together on TikTok for one epic hour of noodles, videos and record-breaking energy
LOS ANGELES, Oct. 5, 2026 /PRNewswire/ -- Samyang Foods today announced that Buldak has officially broken a Guinness World Records® title for the most videos of people eating instant noodles uploaded to TikTok in one hour, with 335 qualifying videos submitted by Buldak fans around the world during the October 1st record attempt.
The record surpassed the previous mark of 250 videos by 85 videos, or 34%, turning one hour of eating Buldak into a global moment shared across TikTok. From individual fans filming from home to college communities gathering near Samyang America's U.S. headquarters, 335 participants across the world came together with one goal: eat Buldak, hit record and make history.
And they didn't do it alone. The Stokes Twins joined Buldak fans to help rally the internet, alongside creators including Tyla, Minty, Mustafa, and this mother and son duo, who helped bring their own audiences into the challenge. Together, the creators helped turn the record attempt into a community-wide event, with fans around the world joining in during the official one-hour window.
At the center of it all was the bowl. Across homes, campuses and gathering spots, fans reached for their favorite Buldak varieties, including hero flavors Original and Carbonara, as they raced to film and upload their videos before the hour was up. Based on participating locations and reported servings, that's over 300 bowls of Buldak being enjoyed as fans helped set the record.
Born from Buldak's deep connection to internet culture and fueled by the Stokes Twins, this record-breaking moment united fans around the world through a shared love of Buldak. Together, they turned up the energy, charged into the burn, and made history.
"We both love Buldak and breaking world records, so teaming up felt like the perfect opportunity to do something massive together. We're always trying to push ourselves to go bigger and crazier with everything we do, and we're happy to have seen this one come to life." said the Stokes Twins.
Then, on October 1st, the idea became a reality. For one official hour, Buldak fans across the world filmed themselves eating noodles and uploaded their videos to TikTok. College campuses joined the party as fans rallied to break the record with friends, Buldak swag, music and plenty of fiery spirit.
As the clock ran out, the videos entered the official review process with Guinness World Records, with fans waiting to find out whether their collective effort had made history.
At 9:27PM PDT, following the official review, the Guinness World Records judge confirmed that Buldak had officially broken the record with 335 qualifying videos.
From spicy-noodle challenges and reaction videos to recipes, memes and everyday Buldak moments, fans have been turning their love of the Korean noodle brand into content for years. Now, they have added a Guinness World Records title to amplify that story.
"This wasn't a record Buldak could break by itself. It took hundreds of fans choosing to show up, grab their noodles and be part of the moment," said Abbas Arslan, the Vice President of Marketing at Buldak. "That's what makes this record so special because it belongs to the Buldak community."
